FP TC 120 Output
Hi everyone,
I will be using the FP TC 120 module to measure several temperatures using thermocouples. My question is that if I use FP Read to read the output from FieldPoint IO Point In which corresponds to a certain thermocouple, will FP Read give me an actual temperature reading or just a voltage? If it's the latter, how can I convert that voltage into a temperature? Thank you.

What's the maximum digital I/O frequency for the NI LabVIEW RIO Evaluation Kit ?
Hi!
I'm trying to analyze some sort of sine signal at the frequency of about 3 MHz. Because the analysis should be very precise and fast (about 10 samples per period), I'm needing the maximum digital I/O frequency of the NI LabVIEW RIO Evaluation Kit.

Can't find subFieldPoint.vi in Labview2013
I have updated my computer to LabVIEW2013 and I need to move a FieldPoint application over to Windows 7. My old vi says the subFieldPoint vi are no good. OK, so where are the new ones? I updated Field Point as well.

cFP IP Address changes when unplugged
HI,
I have a cFP 2200 with 1 AI-110 input module, 1 AO-200 output module, and 1 RLY-423 Relay module. Every time I unplug the power to the cFP system and then plug it back in the IP address changes. I am wondering what I have to do to make the IP address remain the same when I unplug the system? Thanks for the help

FieldPoint to 9-Pin D-Connector
Hi,
I'm wondering if it is possible to use the FP-AI-112 input module to read from a digital power supply that displays flow rates. The manual for the power supply states that it has 9-Pin D-connector socket for "analog I/O functions", so I'm hoping it's possible to connect it to the FP-AI-112.
If it is possible, how would I go about connecting them? How would I determine which pins to put the FP wiring in? I have attached a small PDF with the specificiations of the power supply. Thank you very much.

Rigol DG1062
I am using . I can’t get a Labview driver for this specific function generator. I try the DG4000. I gives me a signal error and can’t figure it out. Can you please suggest me how to get the Labview for Rigol DG1062 Arbitrary function generator.

I keep getting the following error when I try to deploy example project:
192.168.1.2\variables - network - RT (separate) deployment failed (error: -2147220717, MAX: (Hex 0x80040313) The Remote Procedure Call connecting the client to the configuration server failed to be initialized. Your installation may need to be repaired.).
I reformatted FP-2015, reinstalled FP software couple of times, but the error still there. I also have LV 2012 SP 1 and NIMAX 5.5 installed on the same host PC, if that can cause compatibility issues.

cFP Module ID over Modbus
I have a cFP-1804 base with several modules installed and I'd like to be able to identify which module is in a particualr slot. I'm using Modbus to do all my configuration and data collection. Is there a way to identify which module is in a slot over Modbus?
For example: A FP-AI-110 module has an ID of 0101 and a FP-AIO-600 has an ID of 0123. How can I determine this over Modbus?

error writing to field point
I am trying to connect Field point FP-1001 by Ni PCI-485/2 multifuction adaptor . when i start the program by Ni scope i found " ERROR WRITING TO FIELD POINT".
i have checekd the pci card and its setting is quite Ok. the picture attached for referance. please help .

FieldPoint cFP-1601 and MAX5.6 configuration
Dear All,
I would like to share a way to configure the cFP-1601 Ethernet using the MAX 5.6 that doesn't anymore supports this device. The solution is an workaround on the compatibility problem for MAX 5.6 support.
We had upgraded to Windows 7 and we had to upgrade also the MAX from 4.1 to 5.6.
The main problem is that our Field Point FP-TC-120 lost the temperature range configuration and we could only read voltages. Even opening the file *.iak the temperature reading doesn't come back.

Procedure:
1- First to be sure that the device is connected and is able to be pinged on the static IP defined for cFP-1601 interface
2- Remove any Remote System devices (if available anyone that appears disconnected)
3- Add a new device:
4- Place the IP address from cFP-1601 interface. On this example it is 192.1.2.140
5- The following messages appears. Select Yes to create the Offline device.
6- Select the cFP-2000 device and create the termocouples banks
7- Select the cFP-2000 on Remote System. An error message will appear.
8- Make Hardware Reboot, clicking on Reboot button on top right menu. Even the device is disconnected, the Reboot command someway works.
9- Remove the Remote System hardware again.
10- Add again the new hardware on Remote System (repeat steps 3 and 4).
11- Take care to not delay too much between the hardware removal and to add a new one.
12- When typing the IP address uses the "space" key to enter the numbers if below 3 digits. Maybe correcting the IP fails the next step. If it happens try again since the beggining.
13- Here is the great difference: It creates automatically the cFP-1601 banks into Remote System on MAX 5.6.
14- Then now it is able to setup the Thermocouples ranges and type as desired for each Channel, selecting the Channel Configuration Tab.
15- Now click on Apply button to save changes:
16- Repeat the step 14 for all the banks.
17 - After you can save the changes on *.iak file, but it is not well done. However it works. After reading again the *.iak file, it will not appears the cFP-1601 at Remote System. It is necessary to repeat all the procedure to access it again for channels configuration.
I hope it somehow help someone to use the cFP-1601 on Windows 7 with MAX 5.6. Maybe it can work on MAX 5.5

cfp-ctr-500
Hi, I have recently upgraded a system from fieldpoint modules to compact fieldpoint.
I have a cfp-ctr-500 module which I use to generate a pulse output, a terminal count attribute is used to program the length of the pulse (5-1000ms) and the output is on channel 0.
With the old system this worked very well but with the compact fieldpoint module I cannot get any output.
If I make an output mode attribute then select 1 it takes the output high, when 0 is selected it takes it low.
with the old modules I had an attribute called control @ch1 which I set to true to send the pulse, cfp seems to have different names.
Getting very frustrated that I cannot get it to work, any help would be great.

How to read USER1 DIP-switch status of a cRIO chassis from FPGA?
How can I read the status of the DIP switches on a cRio chassis from the FPGA?
I am working with a cRIO 9022.. My idea is to set the system into a "service" mode by setting the USER1 switch to ON and communicate with the FPGA via the FPGA-GUI(VI) on the host computer instead via the RT module which is used under normal conditions.
Any ideas? Unfortunately, I do not have an unused channel left ...and (as far as I know) can't use the RS232 from the FPGA.

R.I.P. Compact FieldPoint
I knew our favourite automation controller, the cFP-2220, is set to be unavailable from 2016, but for some reason I still expected it to be programmable in LabVIEW 2014. As far as I can see the plug has now been pulled for good. 
2013 was the last version with support for the cFP.
Unfortunately there are no alternatives available from NI that really replaces the cFP-2220 for our use 
It had dual ethernet, 4 serial ports, a compact form factor, and a very low power usage (it said 6.1 Watts on the package, but in reality it only needed about 3,5). We even got NI to supply a DIN-rail for it, because we never really needed anything but the controller.
With the single board RIOs we hoped we would get a good alternative to the cFP-2220, but none of them have dual ethernet. Some have a few serial ports, but without everything they are just not good enough. You can find RIOs with dual ethernet, and even serial ports and low power consumption...and cool stuff like Linux RT - but then the form factor is way bigger than the cFP. We cannot embed a cRIO-9068 for example into our instruments. It's huge.
Getting enough serial ports is also much more work than it used to - FPGA coding, a backplane and extra modules - just to get back to the same number of ports we had in-built and ready to use in the old 2220.
R.I.P Compact Fieldpoint.
You were a good companion. Hopefully someday a worthy successor will come along.

cfp 180x modbus
I am trying to communicate with the cfp1804 via modbus and am not receiving a response from the unit. I am able to establish a connection, but cannot receive any response from the slave. I am communicating via python and the socket library. does the message to the cfp need to be any particular data type? any help with this would be much appreciated as i am new to modbus and am not entirely sure i have used the addressing correctly. is the unit defaulted to slave id 1 and does anything need to be done to the cfp to configure it to accept modubus tcp commands?

fieldpoint fp-2210 serial
I have a Compact Fieldpoint cPF-2210. On the base unit there are two RS-232 ports available. Is it possible to communicate to an external device over RS-232 with these ports? I installed NI-VISA Server 5.3.0. But how can I create a program that can run on the fieldpoint and use the RS-232 for communication? I could not find any resources on this. Also not about addressing the port from a vi running on the computer.
I did find this page but I can't find the serial port in MAX

cfp2200 backplane Question
I have a CFP-2200 which is configured with a CFP-AI-112 and CFP-CB-1 in the first 2 slots on the backplane next to the CFP-2200 CPU module. There are a couple of broken pins on the backplane connector for the CFP-CB-1. Can I move these 2 modules to the next 2 available slots on the backplane and the unit still work? If so how do configure it?
Any help would be much appreciated.

falla de comunicación serial con ejecutable
hola.
tengo un ejecutable que mide 4 sensores de presion , su comunicacion es serial. el problema que tengo es que el ejecutable no responde igual si lo cargo en otro cpu, no lee los sensores, me dice que no hay comunicacion. la inteface entre el programa y los sensores es por medio de un convertidor analogico digital (ADAM4017,ADAM4520).al leer las entradas con el software de los modulos no hay problema.solo cuando cargo el ejecutable .ya e copiado todos los archivos al cpu y nada, el programa fue creado con labview 6 y si lo quiero cargar a un cpu con windows arriba de xp y abrir el programa no lee nada.nose si sea por el windows o por la version del labview, agradeceria mucho su ayuda, no se cual es el problema!!!
